1. When was the last time you were interviewed for a job or position? What was it like?

2. Do you usually feel nervous if interviewed? Why/why not?

3. What advice would you give a friend going to a job interview?

4. Do you think interviews are useful for selecting a person for a role?

5. Have you ever had to interview someone else? How did you find it?

6. If choosing someone to work with, what questions would you ask?

7. What questions do you hate being asked in a job interview?

8. If you interviewed someone to share your house, what questions would you ask?

9. Do you think body language is important in an interview? Are there things you are careful about in your own body language if you are being interviewed?

10. What kind of clothes do you wear to an interview? Are both over-dressing and under-dressing potential problems?

11. Do you practice or prepare for an interview? What do you do?

12. Have you had any bad or funny interview experiences you would like to share about?

13. What do you like to do after you have had an interview for a job?

14. Do you think it is good to ask for feedback about your interview?

15. Try role-playing being interviewed for a job. Take turn asking questions, and coach/evaluate each other. Here are some questions you could ask (interviewers should interact with replies):

    • What were your previous jobs, and what experiences did you gain?

    • Tell me about a time when you solved an important problem?

    • What is your greatest achievement?

    • How do you deal with high-stress situations?

    • Can you give me an example of when you worked successfully in a team?

    • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
