Topic: ‘Easter & The Passion’

(Make sure you introduce yourselves as necessary. Also remember that you don’t have to limit yourselves to these questions.. the more conversation and interaction the better!)

1. From Friday to Monday is a special holiday referred to in English as ‘Easter’. What do you understand about the meaning of ‘Easter’?

2. What do they do in your country at Easter time? (In the Northern hemisphere it is near the beginning of Spring.)

3. Do you have any religious holidays in your home country? Describe what happens?

4. Does everybody celebrate the religious holidays in your country? What if they are of a different religion?

5. What do you think has changed over the years, regarding the way people celebrate special holidays?

6. Did you see the movie called ‘the Passion’ (it was intentionally released near Easter time)? Why or why not?

7. What do you think about the ‘the Passion’ (whether you saw the movie or not)?

8. What do you think about Jesus and what happened to him? Do you think he was a real person? What do you know about him? Do you think what the Bible says is true? Why or why not?
