  1. Gen 5:1-5 What do you notice is similar between the creation of man and the fathering of Seth? What might be the significance of this?

  2. Gen 5:6-31 Here we have a record of different notable men, descended from Adam through Seth. What is the pattern of each account? Why might the statement 'and then he died' be significant?

  3. Gen 5:21-23 What is different about what is recorded concerning Enoch? Why might this be significant?

  4. Gen 5:28-31 What was the reason for Noah's name? How might that relate back to the hope of previous chapters?

  5. Gen 6:1-7 After God first created man, Genesis 1:31 records "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good". What was God's response to His creation as he looked at the results of Adam and Eve's sin?

  6. Gen 6:8 Is there any hope at the end of this passage?
